Electronic Bulk-Billing Consent

When your doctor bulk-bills your consultation, Medicare requires your consent. Our medical software now allows your doctor to request this consent securely via SMS. After your consultation, your doctor may send you an SMS to confirm your consent for bulk-billing.

WhWhat you need to do:

• You will receive an SMS with a link asking you to assign your Medicare Benefits to your doctor.
• Click the link and enter your date of birth.
• Review the information provided and click ‘Accept’ to consent to bulk-billing for your consultation.
• You can then download a copy of your bulk-billing consent form.
• If you choose not to consent to bulk-billing, our staff will contact you to arrange payment for your consultation.

Please make sure your mobile number is up-to-date in our system. If you don’t have a mobile number, our staff will ask you to sign a bulk-billing consent form during your next visit to the practice.
