Flu Vaccine Update - 20/5/20
As our Flu Vaccine Season continues to slow down, it has definitely been a different experience this year.
For those of you who are interested, we would like to share some information with our patients about our 2020 Flu Vaccine Season
- In 4 weeks we gave out 3,100 flu vaxes in flu clinics
- Our biggest week we gave out 1,080 flu vaxes for the week
- Our biggest weekend we gave out 540 flu vaxes over Saturday and Sunday
-
To give you a comparison of these numbers:
- Last year we gave out a total of 600 flu vaxes in all flu clinics
- Last year from April to August 2019, we gave out 880 Private flu vaxes over 5 months – we almost reached that number already in our first 4 weeks.
It has been a tremendous effort, and many patients have been thankful for how we handled our flu vax clinics this year (and most importantly we kept our staff and our patients safe along the way).
We would like to thank our patients who came to our flu vax clinics this year and followed our many instructions and thank you for their patience while we awaited our supply. Thank you to our doctors who spent their evenings and weekends distributing vaccines, our nursing staff who did countless stocktakes and prepared the vaccines for our doctors and our reception team who managed the flu clinics and answered the thousands of phone calls for patient bookings and enquiries. Lastly, a big thank you to Anne for her efforts in planning and overseeing our 2020 Flu Vaccine Season.
