Electronic Prescriptions

We are pleased to announce that here at East Adelaide Healthcare we are now offering electronic prescriptions to our patients.

During your consultation, your doctor will be able to provide you with a QR code (token) containing your prescription details (an example token is below).

To receive your QR code (token) you can either have it:

• Sent as an SMS your smart phone
• Sent as an email to you
• Printed out

Once you have your token, you can then provide this to the pharmacy of your choice to receive your medication. Once your pharmacy has dispensed your medication using the token, they will give you a new token for any repeats you may have for your prescription.

You will receive one token for each prescription given to you by your doctor. This means that for multiple prescriptions, you will receive multiple tokens. You will then not need a printed prescription from your doctor.
